Many times we adults forget that kids are doing their best to work through grief issues surrounding the loss of their family as they have known it. While I don't always agree that kids need to know all details surrounding a parental divorce, I do believe that it is important to make sure they know the facts as clearly as possible...especially if one parent may be distorting those facts to make him/herself look better in the eyes of the child. When you state facts, do so <em>without </em>commentary.....just the facts.....kids are smart enough to figure out reality from the facts they are given!<br /><br />I would be happy to dialog with you about your experiences.
